Family Distilling History

Don and Jeanne Gosen, proprietors of Copper Mule Distillery, honor Jeanne’s great grandfather Captain Gustav Wohlt who helped found the Hermann Distilling Company in 1893. The name, Copper Mule, honors the Kallmeyer family mules grazing the property beginning in 1910.
